I got captivated by a poem I read by Rachel Macy Stafford on her blog The Hands Free Revolution. You shoudl read her blog, she is just FANTASTIC!!
I used her poem as inspiration for my journalling in my new layout “Adriana’s many colors: “I love you when you are green like soft, lush grass and that’s when you sing your many songs, you play with your “babies” or when you ask me to tickle you with a big smile and saying: “uno mas” (one more time).
I love you when you are brown like shriveled foliage in winter time and that’s when you won’t go to sleep at night or when you wake up on the wrong side of the bed.
I love you when you are blue like a summer sky and that’s when you run into my arms after a hard day at work and call me “mama, mama” or when you appreciate the food I cook for you with a “That good!”.
I love you when you are yellow like a drop of sunshine and that’s when you read your “quentos” (tales) with mami and say your prayers at night.
